“Use a pedestal vase with large opening (purchased at Pier One.) Fill the vase with rock salt. To add a little more glitz, mix artificial snow into rock salt mixture. Stick three stars into the salt at various heights. Add miniature silver and white ornaments to fill in the top of the vase. Tie a silver ribbon around the center of the vase. Place in the center of a 14” circular mirror. Place a glitzy white star fabric around the bottom of the vase. I found this at Wal Mart but many fabric stores carry the star fabric.
Or, as in the center picture, add star shoots and star garlands found through Floral Supply Syndicate. The wreath around the vase is made of crystal rocks but you can probably get a similar effect by using strings of glass beads.”
Linda uses this arrangement for many different events – Christmas, New Year’s Eve, anniversaries and birthdays, just changing the color of the ribbon and what’s inside the vases to fit the theme of the party.
For a “Star-studded” culinary event (right) Linda used a tall skinny vase from Floral Supply Syndicate (www.fss.com) but these are available at most florists. She filled the vase with rock salt and added 2 silver stars along with the star ting ting. Silver and black ribbon drape down the sides of the vase. Votives reflect the lights of the stars. |

Praise for our clip on stars.....
"When guests walked into the dimly-lit room and saw what semed like thousands of fireflies lighting up the room, you could almost feel their delight. Then, when they realized they could wear the stars, and, better yet, keep them, a joyful spirit spread throughout the room. Men clipped them to their lapels or pockets; women to their dresses, necklaces, blouses, wastebands, hairpieces, collars. You name it....they wore and loved them! The over-all effect was incredible, and the party became an instant success."
Penni Holdham, CSEP, of Display Connection in Toronto, Canada
“So elegant….make every party an instant success....great that they can be worn again and again....much better than a cheap throw away….can't believe how much the men like wearing them….finish is beautiful….white lights so pretty and sophisticated....definite ice breaker and conversation piece....people wear them everywhere - from hair to shoes to lapels to ties to purses….kick the party into high gear.…nothing out there like them!!"
