“Glimmers has put the “fun” back into fundraising for our club. It’s been so easy! You wear what you want to sell; then people naturally walk up to you and compliment the quality of the pin and ask “Where did you get this great pin?” Many of us keep pins in our purses to keep that “point of sale” happening.  Storing stock is easy, as these are small enough items to not take up a lot of storage space. The selection on the types of pins is great and helps to meet the different seasonal opportunities for fundraising. The staff is professional and eager to please, shipping has been phenomenal…even for last minute orders. We even “tweeked” a few pieces to add on our Soroptimist International Logo, to take to conferences and training weekends to sell. I was in the clip-on flashing star business.  I wore a flashing star everywhere: to meetings, to church, to the movies, out to dinner. The FOT Board caught the spirit and bought them for their children, wives, office staff, mothers-in-laws. My first order quickly sold out and I ordered again twice as many, using the proceeds from the first order.  Suddenly we were making serious money and having a great time doing it.”

Then they used the stars for their gala.  Anne goes on to say:
“The Gala was a huge success!  When you walked into the dim room with those 300 stars glimmering and people took them off and put them in their hair - on the pockets of dark suits - you know it was just enchanting.  You have a star - a star in your crown.”

“The star pins are a  truly terrific fundraiser!  All you need to do is wear a star and people will want to know where they can get one.  It’s that easy.  I always keep a couple of pins in my purse as well as an entire box in the  car.  You should see how well they sell around Christmas and the 4th of July.  You can even  partner with local stores to sell them  on your behalf.  Diane  has sold 2,850 glimmering gold star pins to help raise over $15,000 for STARS.

“Your 9” star turned out to be THE perfect fundraiser for our 5th grade class.   Each student needed $235.00 to go away for a week of Outdoor Education at the beautiful Walker Creek Ranch in Santa Rosa, CA.
